90-day AI-readiness roadmap
Days 1 to 90, with a column for your own dates. 1How to use this
Ninety days is one school term. This sheet lays the twelve-week implementation over it — leadership first, four weeks of taught sessions, four weeks of classroom practicum, then evidence and certification — and leaves the last column for your own dates.
Fill your calendar in first, on the page after the table: exam windows, PTMs, staff-development days, festivals, and the weeks when nothing new can be scheduled. A session date that collides with a unit test is a date that will move, and each move costs the cohort a week.
The first fortnight needs no device, no licence and no purchase. It is decisions and a policy — which is why a school can begin this roadmap before it has chosen any tool at all.
2Days 1–90 at a glance
- Sessions sit after school hours or on staff-development days; the practicum sits inside normal teaching rather than on top of it.
- The practicum weeks are the ones to protect. If they collapse into an exam window, teachers finish the taught sessions without the classroom evidence that certification is based on.
- Twelve weeks land inside ninety days with a few days to spare. Use them for the review at the end, not for catching up.

5What exists on day 90 that did not exist on day 1
Tick these off at the review. They are artefacts the school holds and can show — not numbers anyone has promised.
- ☐ A school AI & responsible-use policy, adopted, with a named owner and a review date
- ☐ A cohort of teachers who have each taught, diagnosed, intervened and reassessed with their own students at least once
- ☐ One capstone per teacher: before/after evidence on named competencies for one chapter, in the school’s own records
- ☐ A CPD record the school keeps — session, domain, hours, attendance and evidence, in the school’s own file
- ☐ A parent AI-awareness session delivered at a PTM, with the take-home summary given out
- ☐ A student responsible-AI orientation delivered, with each class’s own five-line agreement written and signed
- ☐ Two or three AI Champions nominated to carry the workflow into the next cohort
- ☐ An activation-funnel reading for the cohort — what teachers actually do, rather than how many attended
6What can go wrong, and where it is handled
